Hampshire winery Wickham Vineyard wines served at Queen’s Diamond Jubilee LunchWickham Vineyard, one of Hampshire’s top wineries was chosen to serve three of its finest wines, Vintage Selection Dry 2010, Special Reserve Red 2009 and Premier Cuvee Brut 2008 to the Queen and Prince Phillip for a Diamond Jubilee lunch celebration at the Assembly Rooms in Walthamstow London, last Thursday (29th March 2012). The event was attended by 200 specially invited local dignitaries, Mayors and charity workers with celebrity chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL DBA, proprietor of Michelin Star restaurant Café Spice Namaste in London providing the cooking.Established in 1984, Wickham Vineyard has become a leading force in English wine production. Where the majority of English vineyards are concentrating on sparkling wine, Wickham Vineyard continues to win major awards both nationally and internationally for its still wines. Producing around 80,000 bottles per year it sells in many top restaurants and hotels including Lime Wood in the New Forest, The Ivy in London as well as P&O and Cunard cruise ships and Waitrose.
