Location
Chateau Constantin-Chevalier lies deep in the Luberon hills about 50 miles north of the Mediterranean. The nearest village is Lourmarin, on the main route between Aix en Provence and the Northern Luberon, and considered by many to be the heart of the Luberon.
Lourmarin is one of the most beautiful villages in France, in an area renowned for beautiful landscapes and wonderful restaurants. This is very much the Provence made famous here by Peter Mayle (who lives nearby and is a fan of Allen's wines, though Allen would never mention it).
The area is easy to get to, with cheap flights to Marseilles, Nimes, or a bit further, Nice. The beautiful city of Avignon is about an hour's drive.
